The Two Years Experience
posted Sunday, 7 May 2006
It's been two days over two years since I started blogging!! How bizarre is that. For two years I've written all sorts of shit in here. Some of it has even been true. Some of it humorous, some just plain lazy.
But for two whole years it's been a great way of expressing myself and reflecting on things. And already it's fun to look back at the stuff I used to write, to remember what has happened over the last couple of years. With my short term memory these days, I sure as hell couldn't have remembered half of it otherwise!!
Who knows if I'll still be doing it in another two years time? But it's certainly been a valuable experience for me, and I hope that some of you have enjoyed popping by from time to time. Long may blogging continue.....
The thing that impressed me today was Tesco.com. Pre-ordered Dirty Pretty Things' album a couple of weeks ago, for just £8.95 (inc delivery). Due for release on Monday. Arrived today, two days before release!!! I thought that was really rather good....
In other news, met up with four old friends from uni today, as two of them have moved fairly close to Reading now. Everyone does in the end. Don't fight it people. Anyway, it all went rather well. Was nice to catch up on old times, especially as I've only seen two of them twice in 7 years, and the other two not at all in seven years. Long time. And considering that I fell out with pretty much everyone from uni shortly after I left, it's nice to finally be back in touch with most of them. May have taken 7 years, but it's definitely progress, methinks....
By the way, 17th June looks like being a potential date for our first Summer party of the year, so if any of you are free to pop across to Reading, you're all very welcome.
To finish, a question that Giles & I have been debating of late. He's been catching up on series one of the OC, as he had previously never seen even one episode before. He's got through 24 episodes over the last few weeks, so is now fit to debate the key question of the OC. Who is fitter - Summer or Marissa? Giles has a thing for older women, so he also thinks Kirsten is in the running, but I just don't get the older women thing, so I'm keeping it firmly fixed on Rachel and Mischa.
When I first started watching the OC, Mischa was always the girl for me. Classically attractive, slim, and friendly. Summer was always a bit too tarted up and looked a bit young. But as time went by Mischa got too skinny and whiney, and Rachel got more natural and girl-next-dooringly gorgeous. Methinks. I've always preferred dark haired girls anyway. With a body you can actually hug without breaking them in half. And who smiles a lot and has lovely eyes.
But what do you think? Rachel or Mischa. Summer or Marissa. To help, I've included a few of pictures of each, for comparison purposes only. I hope you find them helpful....
